Odisha registers 15 new COVID-19 deaths; toll up at 767

Bhubaneswar: Another 15 COVID-19 patients died of the deadly virus in the last 24 hours in Odisha taking toll to 767.

“Regret to inform the demise of fifteen #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” tweeted the State Health & Family Welfare Department today.

The fresh deaths were reported from 9 districts. Khordha district registered the highest of 4 deaths in a single day followed by Puri district (3) and Mayurbhanj district with 2 more deaths due to COVID-19. The virus claimed one each life in Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kendrapara and Rayagada districts,

1. A 60-year old male of Angul district.

2. A 67-year old male of Balangir who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.

3. A 70-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension.

4. A 76-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypothyroidism.

5. A 60-year old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.

6. A 63-year old male of Bhubaneswar.

7. A 72-year old female of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes & Chronic Kidney Disease.

8. A 50-year old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.

9. An 81-year old male of Kendrapada district.

10. A 45-year old female of Mayurbhanj district.

11. A 59-year old male of Mayurbhanj district.

12. A 60-year old female of Puri district who was also suffering from Diabetes.

13. An 84-year old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Ischemic Heart Disease.

14. A 60-year old male of Puri district.

15. A 56-year old female of Rayagada district
