Odisha SFSA beneficiaries to get extra 5 kg rice free of cost for next 3 months

Bhubaneswar: Beneficiaries of the Odisha State Food Security Act (SFSA) will get additional 5 kg of rice each free of cost for the next three months.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made an announcement in this regard. The decision will benefit 9.05 lakh persons of 2.92 lakh families in the state.

The extra rice of 5 kg will be given per beneficiary for the months of October, November and December of this year.

The State Government will spend Rs 49 crore to provide 13, 575 metric tonne rice to the beneficiaries.
