Odisha: Thunderstorm warning issued for twin cities, several dists

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre today issued thunderstorm warning for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack, and several districts of Odisha.

Thunderstorm with lightning, moderate rain or thundershower at some places with one or two spells of intense rain very likely to occur over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack including Cuttack city, and Nayagarh till 12 noon, the Regional Meteorological Centre forecasted.

Yellow Warning over heavy rainfall has been issued for eight districts of Odisha in connection with the deep depression that crossed north Andhra Pradesh coast close to Kakinada between 6.30 AM and 7.30 AM today with maximum sustained wind speed of 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph.
