“Maoists having lost their support base are demoralized, desperate and are hence indulging in killing of innocent tribals. Police has been hugely successful against the Maoists in 2015. We are going to deal with them with a strong hand. We are intensifying our operations against them,” said Singh here today briefing reporters after holding a review meeting on Maoist activities.

Ruling out lack of coordination between the state police and the Central para military forces the DGP said: “We have excellent relation and excellent coordination with the para-military forces and all of them combined are doing very well.”

Apart from the DGP the review meeting was attended by director Intelligence Sunil Roy, special director Intelligence Arun Sarangi, IG Operations Soumendra Priyadarshi and SPs of five Maoist affected districts.
