Odisha Weather Update: Thunderstorm, gusty wind likely in several districts today

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to experience thunderstorm and gusty surface wind today, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 Kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Ganjam and Gajapati,” the Meteorological Centre predicted.

“Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Cuttack and Angul,” it forecasted.

“Light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha,” it added.
