Odisha woman teacher shows TikTok videos to students in classroom; parents demand transfer

Kendrapara: Craze for TikTok videos landed a woman teacher of a residential school in trouble in Kendrapara district after a group of parents staged protest and demanded her transfer alleging negligence in duty on the part of the former.

Reportedly, parents locked the main gate of Kulasahi Ashram School in Patttamundai block of Kendrapara district this morning and staged a dharna  alleging that woman teacher is showing TikTok videos and mobile games to students instead of teaching. “She is playing with the future of the students by indulging them in the video app and mobile games in classroom,” alleged a protesting parent.

“She is running away from her duties and is involved in such useless things. If this continues, the purpose of sending our children to school will not be served,” said another guardian.

The protesters warned that they would continue their protest until the teacher is transferred .
