One killed, another injured in lightning strike in Odisha’s Bargarh

Bargarh: A man was killed and another critically injured when lightning struck them in Beherapali village under Ambabhona police limits in Bargarh district today.

The incident occurred when the deceased, identified as Dhanapati Pradhan of Beherapali village was working along with four others in the groundnut field at around 2.30 PM. While Dhanapati died on the spot, the four injured were rushed to the nearest primary health centre (PHC).

Of the injured, one Khirendra Pradhan has been shifted to Burla hospital after his condition worsened whereas others were given primary treatment at the PHC.
