Though the Bamra forest division DFO claimed that the elephant died due to age-related ailments, the locals alleged that the jumbo has been killed.

It may be recalled that two two female elephants were electrocuted yesterday at Zinani village under Ambabhana block in Bargarh district.

The animals came in contact with live wires, when they entered into paddy fields in search of food, reportedly laid down by locals to hunt wild boars.
