Open safari in Odisha’s Chandaka-Dampara sanctuary soon

Visitors to Chandaka-Dampara Wildlife Sanctuary on the outskirts of Odisha capital will get to experience ecotourism with staying in bamboo houses in the lap of dense forestry decorated with a modern touch, informed an official of the sanctuary.

The administration has facilitated online ticket booking and six battery-run vehicles to avail ecotourism experience for tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature spread over an area of 193.39 sq. km.

As many as 30 places have been identified for picnickers with feast facility and bamboo houses to spend night in the lap of nature.

The entry fee into the biodiversity has been fixed at Rs 40 for Indian citizens and Rs 1000 for foreigners.

It’s a house to many endangered animals and birds and a famous elephant sanctuary in East India welcoming a large number of migratory birds from across the globe in winter season.

Tourists can go up to enter two kms into the biodiversity and we are going to open Chandaka Open Safari very soon along with herbal therapy and naturopathy, said an official.

Nature camp, indoor and outdoor sport facilities have been aimed to make available for visitors, he concluded.
