RDC directs to stop JICA works in Odisha’s Cuttack ahead of Barabati ODI

Cuttack, Jan 16:

Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central AB Ota and Cuttack district Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra today visited the Barabati stadium here and took stock of the preparedness for the One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between India and England scheduled to be played at the venue on January 19.

Ota directed to temporarily stop all the drainage and sewerage works undertaken by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in the city.

Besides, the RDC directed the Public Health Department to ensure 24 hours water supply on match day.

On the other hand, 25 platoons of police force will be deployed in Bhubaneswar for the security of players of two teams who will arrive in the capital city on December 18.
