Road show in Varanasi to promote Odisha tourism

At a time when cyclone Phailin and floods have made Odisha an avoidable destination for both domestic and foreign tourists, the state Tourism department staged a road show in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Monday to woo tourists to the state.

“The objective was to showcase the tourism potentials of the state and promote Odisha as one of the preferred tourist destinations,” said state Tourism director Manoranjan Patnaik.

Patnaik during an interaction with about 80 Varanasi-based our operators, travel agents and travel writers, drew cultural similarities between the two states and invited the tour operators to Odisha for a glimpse of the immense tourism potential of the state , a Tourism department release said.
