BJP’s NE meet: Routes to be avoided for travelling in Odisha capital

In view of visit of VVIPs and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha capital for the BJP’s two-day national executive meeting scheduled at Janata Maidan on April 15 and 16, the Commissionerate police issued a press release advising the commuters to avoid travelling through routes during the event.

The CP advised public to avoid travelling through AG square from 1.30 pm to 2 pm today in view of the VIPs’ visit to Odisha capital to attend the national executive meeting of BJP.

There will be congregation at AG crossing from 1.30 pm to 2 pm on April 14 due to movement of VIP. The public are advised to avoid travelling through AG square during the period, the release said.

On April 15, there will be congestion on the road between Bhubaneswar airport to AG Crossing, from AG Crossing to Raj Bhawan and Raj Bhawan to Janata Maidan due to movement of VVIPs/VIPs throughout the day. The commuters are advised to consider alternative routes, it said.

Similarly, the CP advised the public to take other routes for travelling to airport on April 16 due to the event.

There will be congregation between Soor company chhak to Golei chhak near Biju Patnaik airport between 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm on April 16. Those who are travelling to airport between 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm are advised to take Old airport road instead of new airport road, the release said.
