Santragachhi-Puri special train from Oct 4

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to run a special train between Santragachhi and Puri. As per the schedule, the 02837 Santragachhi-Puri special train will leave Santragachhi at 7pm every Friday from October 4 to November 29 and arrive at Puri at 4.15 am the following day.

In the return direction, the 02838 Puri-Santragachhi special train will leave Puri at 6 pm every Saturday from October 5 and November 30 and arrive at Santragachhi at 3.10 am the next day.

The train will have one AC-2 tier, three AC-3 tier and 11 sleeper classe coaches with stoppages at Kharagpur, Baleswar Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road.

In another step, ECoR has decided to add one AC chair car coach and one second class chair car coach permanently in the 12821/12822 Howrah-Puri-Howrah Dhauli Express with effect from September 9 from Howrah and from September 10 from Puri.

With this, the train will run with 19 coaches.
