Sarada mines served with closure notice

The office of the deputy director of Mines at Joda in Odisha’s Keonjhar district has served closure notice to Sarada mines.

“The closure notice has been served because the tenure of the green clearance to the mines has expired since April 1”, said mining officer Salil Kumar Behera.

On the other hand, the director of Sarada mines Arjun Sharma has expressed unhappiness over the notice and said the closure notice is not justified since the mines has deemed approval on environment clearance.
