Second Covid vaccination dry run to be held in Odisha tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: In order to ensure Covid vaccine delivery in an efficient manner and better management, another vaccination dry run will be held across States including Odisha and Union Territories tomorrow.

An official of State Health official said the second dry run will be conducted at three centres in each district and municipal areas of the State. Following a discussion with the Health Ministry today on the measures need to be taken in case of side-effects, the Odisha Health official said special kits including injection and medicines will be kept at each vaccination centre.

The official further stated an ANM will be present at each vaccination centre. Training has already been imparted to the ANMs ahead of the second vaccination dry run.

At one PHC and CHC of each district and medical colleges, the second dry run will be carried out from 10 am to 12 noon, the official informed.

Worth mentioning, the first phase vaccination dry run was carried out in 31 places of Odisha on January 2, 2020.
