Sex racket busted in Odisha capital, kingpin held

The Quick Action Team of the commissionerate police along with Laxmisagar police staff busted a sex racket following raid on a parlour located near Kalpana square in Odisha capital today. The kingpin and two customers were arrested during the raid.

The police team have also rescued three girls from the parlour who were forced by the kingpin to do these immoral activities in the city.

The arrested kingpin has been identified as Ajay Thakur (26) of Chintamaniswar and two customers- Amarendra Das (38) of Cuttack and Dharmendra Jena (41) of Mayurbhanj presently staying in Jharpada area.

Acting on a tip off, the QAT team and Laxmisagar police personnel raided the parlour and arrested two customers indulged in the immoral activities along with the kingpin. However, the owner of the parlour managed to give a slip to the raiding party.

Police said the girls rescued will be sent to short stay homes in the city after the documentation is over.

Several objectionable articles including medicines and condoms have been seized from the spot.
