Shocking! Odisha woman ends life hours after hubby commits suicide

Bhanjanagar: A pall of gloom descended on a village in Odisha’s Ganjam district after a husband-wife duo allegedly committed suicide due to family feud.

According to reports, one Lambodhar Behera from Suramani village under Sorada police limits in the district consumed some poisonous substance after quarrel with his wife Jayanti Behera this morning.

Lambodhar was rushed to Sorada Primary Health Centre (PHC) for treatment in a critical condition where the doctors referred him to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

Lambodhar, however, succumbed while undergoing treatment at the government-run healthcare facility.

Worse, Jayanti reportedly hanged herself on the hospital premises after coming to know about her husband’s demise.

Meanwhile, police have registered cases of unnatural deaths and are investigating into it.
