Speed limit of goods vehicles not to exceed at 20 km/hr in Odisha

Strongly implementing the directive by National Green Tribunal (NGT), Odisha government has imposed restriction on speed limit of the goods vehicles especially during summer.

According to decision by the government, the speed limit of goods vehicles will not exceed at 20 km per hour. The vehicles carrying construction materials and solid waste will be covered. The overloaded goods vehicles will not be allowed at any cost.

Urban Development Secretary G Mathivathanan has directed all the municipal corporation authorities, transport officers and local police to strongly implement the 2010 NGT order in their concerned areas.
