Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today informed that the state government is considering conferring the Biju Patnaik Bravery award on social activist Linkon Subudhi, who was brutally attacked in Noida for protesting child marriage.

Patnaik asked Subudhi, who met him at the state secretariat here today, asked her about her health condition of Linkon while praising the brave girl.

The 29-year-old woman was attacked brutally when she protested a minor girl’s marriage in Noida. Linkon intervened when a 16-year-old girl was forced by her family to marry a middle aged man against her wishes.
The groom and the mother of the minor girl stabbed the social worker with a knife and attacked her with bricks leaving her severely injured.
