Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik is among the four Odias selected for the Padma Shree award to be conferred this year.

The other three are well-known Odissi danseuse Gita Mahalik, renowned surgeon of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Dr Subrat Acharya and prominent scientist Ajay Parida.
