These hosps in Odisha’s Twin Cities to provide free treatment to accident victims

Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate prompt treatment for road accident victims, the Odisha Government has decided to render medical care free of cost to such patients at three private hospitals in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

The free treatment service will be available during the first 48 hours after the mishap at Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar; AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneswar; and Ashwini Hospital, Cuttack. The fund shall be met from the Free Treatment to Trauma Fund.

“In order to facilitate prompt treatment and assist in the management of trauma patients due to road traffic accident, it is decided to render the medical/surgical/critical care free of cost in the private hospitals so that no lacunae remains in the treatment due to financial constraints of the patient,” a notification of the Health & Family Welfare Department said.

The detail operating guidelines are available on the website of DMET, Odisha i.e. www.dmetodisha.gov.in in the Acts and Rules section. For guidance, a cell has been formed consisting of the following members as under:
