Thunderstorm, hail forecast in 12 Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: Thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind with speed reaching 50 to 60 KMPH is likely to lash 12 districts of Odisha from 10.15 pm today till 2.15 am tomorrow.

The districts that are likely to be affected are Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Puri, Khordha and Deogarh.

“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 to 60 KMPH likely to occur over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh , Dhenkanal ,Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Puri, Khurda, Deogarh, between 2215 hrs IST and 0215 hrs IST of dt 30.04.18,” said a bulletin issued by the Regional Meteorological Centre here.
