Trader held In Kandhamal ; IMFL seized

Excise department officials on Saturday arrested a businessman and seized huge quantity of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) illegally stored by him for sale during ensuing polls, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, excise department officials along with police, raided the house of local trader Hadibandhu Sahu in K. Nuagaon area on Saturday and seized 190 cartons, each containing 12 bottles of beer worth over Rs two lakh, said SS Gantayat, Excise Superintendent.
Sahu had bought  2280 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor of different brands illegally from Berhampur for sale in the open market in the ensuing election period, Gantayat said.

On rejection of his bail application by a local court here, Sahu was sent to the Baliguda sub-jail.
