Both succumbed to their injuries after they were rushed to the hospital.

According to reports, police found two security guards of the bank—Parameswar Behera and Purna Chandra Dehuri—lying in a pool of blood inside the bank around 7 AM today and rushed them to the IGH Hospital, where the duo succumbed to their injuries.

The officials of the bank said Parameswar was on night duty while Purna was supposed to do the morning shift at the bank.

It is not known whether it was a case of a shoot-out or both were attacked by a third person.

The police suspect it could have been the fallout of a dispute between the two security guards. The police also said going by circumstantial evidence the involvement of a third person cannot be ruled out.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that Parameswar had taken tea for Purna from a tea stall near the bank this morning.

Local people who knew both said they were not aware of any dispute between them.

The police have found some drawers of the tables in the bank open with several files and papers lying on the floor.
