Two killed, 15 injured after pickup van overturns in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: Two persons were killed, and 15 others were injured after a pickup van overturned in the Hinjili area in Odisha’s Ganjam district in the wee hours today.

The identities of deceased persons are yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, two pickup vans carrying 22 ‘danduas’ (artistes, who perform ‘danda’ folk dance) from Berhampur were heading to Khetri Berhampur. One pickup van overturned after the driver lost control over the vehicle near Saru village under Hinjili police limits.

While two died on the spot, 15 others sustained injuries, of which seven were critical. All the victims have been admitted to the Hinjilicut Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
