Watch Video: RPF constable saves woman’s life at Bhubaneswar Railway Station

Bhubaneswar: Alertness on the part of an RPF constable saved the life of a woman at the Bhubaneswar Railway Station, yesterday. The incident took place at platform no. 3 and has been captured on a CCTV camera installed at the railway station.

According to reports, the woman’s legs slipped while she was trying to board Puri-Sealdah Duronto Express. She fell down and came partially between the edge of the platform and the moving train.

Head Constable S Munda, who was walking by at that time, came to the rescue and pulled the woman onto the platform as she was getting dragged below towards the railway track.

Munda’s promptness and bravery avoided a certain mishap and loss of life. His act has been praised by many.

The woman reportedly hails from Ichapuram in Andhra Pradesh.
