Weather alert: Rain, thunderstorm likely in 6 Odisha districts today

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department, regional centre issued thunderstorm alert for six districts across the State till 3: 45 PM today.

As per the weathermen, thunderstorm accompanied with lighting and rain will occur in six districts, including Khorda, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati and Dhenkanal till 3.15 PM today.

Rainfall activities very likely to continue in these Odisha districts till April 14

The Met centre further predicted that rain will occur in north Odisha from August 12 under the impact of a fresh low pressure likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood on August 13.

On the other hand, a few places of south Odisha will experience rain by this evening due to a cyclonic circulation over west central Bay of Bengal and adjoining south coastal Andhra Pradesh, the Met centre said.
