Woman gang-raped in front of husband in Odisha’s Balasore; 4 arrested, 2 detained

Balasore: Police today arrested four men and detained two minors over their alleged involvement in gang-raping a woman in front of her husband in Sahadevkhunta area of Odisha’s Balasore district.

According to reports, the accused had entered the house of the couple in the wee hours of Tuesday with an intention of loot.

They attacked the husband of the victim with a sharp weapon while three of them raped the woman in front of him. The wrongdoers also looted Rs 10,000 from the couple.

Investigating into the case, police today took action against the accused. They were sent for medical examination.

The statement of the woman has been recorded while further probe was underway.
