11-ft python caught in fishing net in Odisha

Konark: An 11-ft long python was caught alive in fishing net near a river bridge under Gop police limit in Puri district today.

After getting information, Konark range officer Prashant Swain and snake helpline team rushed the spot and rescued the huge snake.

According to reports, the python was caught in net while a fisherman identified as Kalakar Behera was fishing near Netapur in Kushabhadra River this morning.

The 11-ft long python weighs around 17.300 kg, said Range officer Prashant Swain.
