11000 students sit for CBSE exams in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Mar 1:

Nearly 11,000 Class X students from  240 schools in the state appeared in the board examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)  that began on Saturday.

The examinations were held in 55 centres across the state, sources said.

According to the Bhubaneswar CBSE regional director A S Verma, a total of 43,000 students from 900 schools across three states -Chhattisgarh (14,000 students), Odisha (11,000) and West Bengal (18,000), appeared in the class XII examinations conducted in 148 centres.

“Three-tier squads have been deployed to keep a vigil on the examination centres in the state,” Verma said, adding, the examination are to be held between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm on the scheduled dates of the examination, which will continue till April 17 this year.
