Three women Maoists nabbed in Odisha

The BSF personnel have nabbed three women Maoists in separate combing operations in Odisha’s Malkangiri district.

Naxal Arest visual  001While two women Maoists of Mathili-Darabha Division were captured inside the forest near Temurupali village under Mathli police station limits yesterday, another woman Maoist was nabbed from Marigeta forest under Kalimela police station limits today.

They were produced before the SDJM court today which remanded them to judicial custody after rejecting their bail plea.

The two women Maoists, nabbed from Temurupali forest, have been identified as Sarmara and Parvati while the other apprehended inside Marigeta forests has been identified as Rina.

Rina, involved in several violent incidents including torching of a bus at Kalimela and planting landmines in several areas of the district, had carried a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on her head while Samara and Parvati were engaged in bringing the young men and women to the Maoist fold, police said.

However, police did not reveal the details to the media.
