17 child labourers rescued in Odisha’s Rayagada  

Rayagada: The Gunupur police of Rayagada district rescued as many as 17 child labourers after conducting raid at various places in the town yesterday.

Sources said police and a special squad conducted raid on several hotels and garages in the town and rescued the children, all are residents of Gudari and Chandrapur areas in the district. Child Welfare Committee (CWC) officials were also present during the raids.

Police all the rescued are minors, they will be first handed over to the district CWC and later to their family members.
