6 Kolkata bound flights make emergency landing at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: As many as six Kolkata bound flights made emergency landings at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here today.

These Kolkata bound flights-four of Indigo and one each of Go Air and Air India that could not land at Kolkata due to bad weather conditions was diverted to Bhubaneswar and had to make emergency landings, BPIA authorities said.

As a result of 11 flights making emergency landings at the BPIA, the crowd at T1 terminal went beyond control for some time causing inconvenience to passengers who were to board flights to Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, etc. from here.
