Opposing Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Puri on the occasion of legendary Biju Patnaik’s death anniversary, the Sachetan Nagarik Manch staged demonstration here against Swargadwar land grabbing issue.

The protesters burnt the effigy of Patnaik demanding encroachment-free Swargadwara.

They waved the black flag opposing CM’s visit.

The agitation turned uglier when a police official caught fire after the Sachetan Nagarik Manch activists set ablaze the banner during the protest.

Notably, CM Patnaik is scheduled to visit Swargadwara in Puri to pay tribute to Biju Patnaik on his 20th death anniversary.
