UP woman makes Puri Srimandir photos viral on Facebook

Puri: A young woman from Uttar Pradesh has allegedly made photos of the Puri Shree Jagannath temple viral on social media today. The woman, Nidhi Shukla from Barabanki uploaded photos of servitors climbing atop the Srimandir to tie the holy flag on her Facebook post.

The photos uploaded on the Facebook were allegedly taken inside the premises of the Srimandir.

After the photos surfaced on the social media, the Puri police has registered a case and begun probe into the matter.

Earlier, in last week of December, a student from Barddhaman area in West Bengal uploaded a 50-second video of Srimandir on the Facebook. The student, Som Modak had uploaded the video of premises of the temple at 4.07 AM on December 18. He had tagged 36 persons in the video post.

Photos of the Srimandir premises have been made viral on social media on several occasions in the past. An Archaeology officer had posted a photo of the ‘Garbha Gruha’ of the Srimandir a couple of months back.
