Class 5 boy found hanging in orphanage in Odisha
Koraput: In a shocking incident, a Class 5 boy staying in Gopabandhu Ashram (an orphanage) at Jeypore in Koraput district was found hanging in its bathroom today.
Sources said the boy had a fight with another inmate of the orphanage this morning. After a while, he ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling of the bathroom with a towel.
On receiving information, police along with Sub-Collector, Block Development Officer (BDO), District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) and Child Welfare Committee (CWC) officials reached the the spot and initiated an inquiry into the incident.
The deceased was studying in Parabeda Upper Primary School.
