ALL-TIME-HIGH! 4198 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: As many as 4198 fresh COVID-19 positive cases, highest single-day spike so far, were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally today mounted to 155005.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2476 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1722 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 758 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (367 ) and Puri (310).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 35673. However, 1,18,642 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 49,393 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 2472517 tests have been conducted in the state.
