AP Padhi new Odisha Dev.Commisioner

Bhubaneswar, June 8:

Aditya Prasad Padhi, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to Odisha Chief Minister will hold the important post of Development Commissioner, said sources in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

He will also hold his current position as additional charge as of now, sources added. A notification in this regard is expected to be issued soon.

A 1983 batch IAS officer, Padhi, who is the ACS to CM since 2010, will handle the Department of Planning & Coordination (DoPC) department, which is all set to finalize the new Five Year Plan and renewal of mining leases that will help augment revenue to the state.

Since Injeti Srinivas, who was holding the position of Development Commissioner, is leaving on a Central deputation as the Chairman of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Padhi will handle the assignment and coordinate with all the departments besides holding the key post at the Chief Minister’s office.

Meanwhile, the state government has asked G Mathivathanan to take additional charge of Housing and Urban Development (H&UD), which was also being handled by Srinivas until now.

Mathivathanan is presently holding the posts of Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Commerce & Transport, Parliamentary Affairs and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of IPICOL.
