‘Bharat Bandh’: Employees of these Odisha offices asked to report by 9:30AM tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: In view of the call for a ‘Bharat Bandh’ (nationwide strike) on March 26, 2021, given by farmers’ unions, the Odisha government asked employees of its major offices in Bhubaneswar to report to duty by 9.30 AM tomorrow.

In a letter, Special Secretary of Home Department, Santosh Bala directed Secretaries of different departments to advise officers and employees working at the Lok Seva Bhawan, Kharavela Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan and the Heads of Department Building to reach office by 9.30 AM on March 26 to facilitate their smooth entry.

As part of precautionary measures, the front gates of the Lok Seva Bhawan will be closed at 10:15 AM tomorrow and all the passage will be regulated thorough rear gates. Also, the connecting gate between the Red Building and Main Lok Seva Bhawan will remain open, the letter mentioned.

“Security check of identity cards and passes of the employees and visitors will be intensified. Travelling in a vehicle having car pass will not be permitted without valid authority for entry,” the letter read.

Entry of visitors to these office buildings will be restricted on March 26. Persons having prior appointment, whose business is pressing and immediate will be given entry passes on the recommendations of the concerned Department by Special Secretary, Home Department. The visitors will leave immediately after the meeting, the letter stated.
