Bharat Biotech announced prices of Covaxin; see here

Bhubaneswar: At a time when the Government of India allowed the States and private hospitals to procure Covid vaccines directly from the manufacturers, Bharat Biotech announced prices for its vaccine – Covaxin.

Bharat Biotech, which developed and manufactured Covaxin, has been supplying the Covid vaccine to the Government of India at Rs 150/dose. People of the country have been getting Covaxin for free during the Centre’s vaccination programme so far.

In a recent development, the Government of India allowed States and private hospitals to procure 50% of production of the Covid vaccine manufacturers.

Here’s the price list of Covaxin (per dose):

State governments – Rs 600

Private hospitals – Rs 1200

Exports – $15-20
