Bhubaneswar DCP releases WhatsApp number to share info on extortion, drugs, street crime

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar DCP has released a WhatsApp number for citizens to share information on extortion, drugs and street crime in the city.

The WhatsApp number for informing the police is 7077798111.

“If anybody falls prey to “DAADAABATI” by any antisocial or any information relating to drugs & street crime in Bhubaneswar city, Please share information on our Street Crime WhatsApp no.- 7077798111,” Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh tweeted.

In view of the upcoming puja season, the police official had earlier warned against forcible collection of ‘chanda’ from residents of the city. All police stations here have been directed to keep a vigil on anti-social elements.
