Bombs hurled at CMC Deputy Mayor’s residence

Cuttack: Unidentified miscreants hurled crude bombs at the Pala Mandap residence of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Deputy Mayor Ajay Barik here this evening.

While the windshield of a car has been damaged in the attack, there has been no casualty.

Allegedly, bike-borne miscreants fled the place after hurling the bombs at Barik’s residence.

Police have registered a case in this connection and are investigating the matter.

“Since I have evicted hawkers from Badambadi bus stand, my house has been attacked. Now I feel there is a threat to my life,” said Barik after the bomb attack.
