Breaking: Class 1-12 syllabus reduced by 30 % in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government  today reduced syllabus of students from Class 1 to Class 12 by 30 per cent for the 2020-21 academic year in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

A decision to this effect was taken after recommendation  of three committees, informed School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.

The new syllabus will be available on official websites of Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) and State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT),he added.

Regarding reopening of schools, the Minister said the decision will be taken once the Centre issues fresh guidelines.
