Cold wave likely to subside in Odisha from today; rainfall from Jan 31

Bhubaneswar: Intensity of cold wave condition is likely to subside in Odisha from today under the influence of an approaching western disturbance, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has predicted.

As per the forecast, night temperature is likely to go up by 2 to 3 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha.

The approaching western disturbance is likely to make the night temperature normal in many parts of the state. Some areas may also receive rainfall from January 31, said Umasankar Das, Scientist, Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre.

Rainfall-related forecast:

Jan 31: Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh and Keonjhar.

Feb 1: Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Feb 2: Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Feb 3: Light rain likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara.
