Police today seized counterfeit notes worth more than Rs 5 lakh and arrested two persons from Biripur village of Narayanpatna block in Odisha’s Koraput district today.
Acting on a tip-off about the circulation of counterfeit notes, a team of Narayanpatna police rushed to Biripur village and arrested two persons.
“We have seized 170 counterfeit notes of Rs 1000 and 711 counterfeit notes of Rs 500 from the accused who have been forwarded to the court”, said Laxmipur SDPO Hemant Padhi.
