Crocodile found dead in Odisha’s river bank

A male crocodile was found dead in Khairi-Bhandan river bank of Odisha’s Jashipur area yesterday.

Acting on the information, the forest officials of Gurugudia range office reached the spot to examine the 8.4 inch crocodile. The officials found a deep injury on its head. The age of the crocodile is expected to be around 20 years.

Either the crocodile was ailing, or it died in the fight with another crocodile, said veterinary medical officer Bhubananand Giri.
