Cruise ship drug party: Court to hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea tomorrow

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: The Esplanade Magistrate Court will hear an bail application moved by Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan tomorrow, who was arrested on October 2 evening in connection with the cruise ship drug party case.

The court has posted a hearing on the bail application to 11 AM tomorrow and directed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to submit a reply by then.

When the court stated Aryan and seven other accused will be kept at NCB office till tomorrow because jail would not accept the new inmates at this hour, the counsel for the Shah Rukh Khan’s son moved the bail application.

The court sent Aryan and seven others, who were arrested in connection with the case, to the judicial custody for 14 days.

NCB had prayed for custody of the eight accused including Aryan Khan till October 11.

The court also said the cruise ship drug seizure case will be heard by the Special NDPS court henceforth.

So far, a total of 17 persons have been arrested by the NCB in the cruise ship drug party case.

Earlier in the day, the court sent Achit Kumar, the 17th accused to NCB custody till October 9. Kumar was arrested based on disclosures made by accused Aryan Khan and Arbaz Merchant.

Khan, along with eight others were apprehended by NCB following raids on Cordelia Cruise ship where the alleged rave party was on October 2 evening. On Sunday, the eight persons were arrested, sparking a major sensation across the country.
