Apart from the Assembly, Singh — along with Twin city Police Commissioner YB Khurania and Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi — also reviewed the security arrangements in lower PMG area where most of the demonstrations take place.

“Today, we reviewed the security arrangement for the Odisha Legislative Assembly before the session begins of September 21. Necessary steps have been taken to ensure an incident free session,” said Singh speaking to reporters after reviewing the arrangements.

According to a source in the police, a three-tier security arrangement has been put on place in and around the Odisha Legislative Assembly ahead of the monsoon session.

As many as 35 platoons of police, 100 ASIs, 12 assistant commandants, four assistant DCPs and a DCP rank officer have been deployed to enforce law and order. Security has been tightened at stations, bus stops and other key junctions of the city to avoid any untoward incident.
