The meeting, presided over by chief secretary Gokul Chandra Pati, was attended by secretary, Law, Mihir Ranjan Parida and Advocate General (AG), Surya Mishra.

The Task Force report was approved by the Cabinet on December 18.

The state government, on the basis of the recommendations of the three-member Task Force headed by additional chief secretary, Revenue, Dr Tara Dutt, decided to cancel all allotment of houses and plots made under DQ since January 1, 1995 by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) and the Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB).

The government also decided to conduct vigilance inquiry into the allotment of all multiple plots and flats obtained under false affidavit and cancel it thereafter.

“We met to discuss on fixing of modalities for the implementation of the recommendations of the Task Force report which has been accepted by the Cabinet. It was decided that the Law department in consultation with the Advocate General will fix modalities for implementation of the Task Force report at the earliest”, the Law secretary told reporters after the meeting.
