Eggs hurled at three BJD MLAs’ vehicles, black flags shown in Odisha

Kalahandi: Youth Congress workers allegedly hurled eggs at vehicles in which three BJD MLAs were travelling and showed them black flags at Narla in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.

According to reports, Junagarh MLA Dibya Shankar Mishra, Narla MLA Bhupinder Singh and Lanjigarh MLA Pradip Kumar Dishari were travelling together in a car to attend a Teachers’ Day programme organised by the District Primary Teachers’ Association at Narla.

However, the BJD legislators were strongly opposed by Youth Congress workers near the venue.

The protestors allegedly hurled eggs at the vehicles and showed black flags to BJD leaders shouting slogans ‘Go Back’. They created a ruckus at the place opposing their visit to the programme over Junagarh MLA’s alleged involvement in the murder of schoolteacher Mamita Meher.
